White Salmon – Husum, Washington
Many dreams were had by Sir Thomas Leaf about the adventurer’s hike yesterday around Mosier and its tunnels along the Historic Columbia River Highway. It was a passage of sorts to the new upcoming adventure this summer. Sir Thomas Leaf awoke early to a day of chores. He headed into town early to find the White Salmon library was closed for remodeling. He dropped off an order at the Husum post office and was comforted that the snow banks were starting to disappear off the landscape. A pitstop at the Shell station at BZ Corner, he ran his errands and returned home to the Cliffhanger. Sorting through their inventory and trying to arrange items to list having to do it offline since they are currently living off the grid. Times have been hard and Sir Thomas Leaf believed this was the hardest winter yet in his life. An evening with the family, cooking on the George Forman and rice cooker, they nestled up to movies and writing into the cold of the night.
