Friday, January 1, 2016~ White Salmon, Washington ~
The hardships of the worst winter ever that Sir Thomas Leaf, Prince Cian, and Lady Etain experienced set in as some of the coldest and harshest winter conditions pounded the Columbia Gorge as they struggled from getting out of their hole. Snowed in to the Cliff Hanger up by BZ Corner, archaeology fieldwork was gone for the season, and their merchant trailer was snowed in. Off the grid they had no internet where they lived, and had to coast down the mountain to the gorge, into White Salmon to hit the library to do internet, hunt for work, and try to figure out surviving the winter into the New Year. It was the hardest winter yet in the life of Sir Thomas. But hopes of archaeological survey projects were ahead in March, yet sales almost non existent for their web sites. No tech work, no blogging work, it was pretty bleak message into the New Year for Sir Thomas. Lady Etain struggled with trying to get together her resume and just never pursued the job hunt. Not to mention the impacts of life on the adventurers trying to survive the harsh of winter. Each day they would try to escape their off-grid cliffhanger over the White Salmon to get into the village to visit the library so the Prince could play with some other kids, read books, play with legos, and Sir Thomas Leaf and Lady Etain get their job hunting done. Work Force as well as the library was closed for the day, so they wound up getting some wifi done at the Subway in Husum. Back to the wilderness retreat, shady duo of Kevin and Miles were getting drunk, slamming down beers, and becoming too rowdy/obnoxious making it hard for the adventurers to keep sane. Sir Thomas and the Prince called it a early evening while Lady Etain party’ed a bit with the wild ones, until the Prince needed his mom. The night was long, cold, and unforgiving.
