Sir Oisin awoke at 6:30 am and finished watching “The 100” from last night. Prince Cian didn’t awake until 7:30 am giving Dad some time to himself in the morning. As soon as the Prince arose, he wanted to wrestle with Dad, tickling and then saying he wanted to go into the main house to play with the kids. They ventured in, but all were asleep at 8 am, 8:30 am, and the kids still sleeping at 9:30 am. The poor Prince was fearful he wouldn’t get to play with them before doing deliveries. They were up by 10 am though so he got play time in. Dad made the Prince toasty O’s with organic milk for breakfast and they dressed up for the day to do deliveries. It was a very sunny hot day awaiting them outside. They pondered doing a movie in the afternoon. Prince Cian was obsessed with working on his mummy race track set and trying to fix the mummy’s gate echoing “who dares to wake the mummy” ( although to Dad it sounds like it’s saying “zombie”, not “mummy”).

Shift 1: Company 1 : 11 am – 1 pm:

They were off on their first delivery around 11:30 am. They headed off to the East Coast Deli and Restaurant then by noon off to IHOP and back to East Coast Restaurant by 12:30 pm. They pit stopped at Wendy’s hoping to get the 50c frosty deal but it was over. So they went for the 4 for $4 deal with Dad doing the small bacon cheeseburger, Prince Cian the cheeseburger, and the adventurers getting chicken nuggets, fries, and lemonades each.

They had a break from 1 pm until 4 pm so decided to go to the movies at Tinseltown using Movie Pass since they haven’t used it for over a month. The Prince as usual wanted to go home to play with the kids, but dad insisted it was over a week since they went to the movies and it was time. So they went, especially since the kids were gone off with their grandpa while their dad was at work. Summer is always hard with daycare. Plus it was excruciatingly hot outside, so sheltering in a cool movie theater was perfect. While Sir Oisin had already saw “The Avengers: Infinity War” – the Prince hadn’t. They had just re-watched
Thor: Ragnarok last night, so they were both in a Marvel’s mood. It was good to see Dr. Strange, the Hulk, and Thor again. The Prince was extremely excited to see Spider Man and Iron Man. The whole crew was involved in the movie – including Black Panther and Guardians of the Galaxy. They were all fighting to save the universe from the great Titan – evil Thanos who was deadest on reducing the Universe’s population by half, even at the sacrifice of his own family. It was a modern intriguing mythos retelling of Ragnorok, the Apocalypse, and End of Times mushed together manipulating reality. It was quite sad an ending, still unsettling to Sir Oisin and even bothered the Prince. Oisin is intrigued by the Ancient Ones and how the Marvel universe has weaved old to modern tales including them.

As they exited the theater, the skies darkened and the temperatures cooled … they had 40 minutes before they were on shift again. So they headed over to “Kum and Go” and grabbed two $1 frosty drinks for the road, then headed back to the house. No one was home, the kids still playing at the grandparents while Lord Jesse was at work finishing up grades and classroom stuff for the year. It started to rain and semi-hail as they entered the house and tackled some chores. The Prince played with legos. Then the next request came through and they were off – luckily the rain ceased as they got to the car and off they went.

Shift 2: Company 1: 4 pm – 6 pm:

The adventurers only had 4 more hours to go but were slammed with requests as it was dinner rush. At 4 pm they hit Red Gravy, then at 5 pm off to Old Chicago, and took a break at Starbucks for a Cake pop and Chai Creme Frappacino. They then headed next door to Fazoli’s for the next delivery pickup and by 6 pm went to Qdoba Mexican Eats.

Shift 3: Company 1: 6 pm – 8 pm:

At 6:30 pm they headed to Hooters and made the delivery, then at 7 pm to Bingo Burger and a final return to Qdoba on the north side for their remaining delivery of the day. They were tired and hungry.

They dropped by King Soopers for last minute grocery shopping for the evening’s dinner grabbing a roast chicken, pepperoni pizza, and lemonade. They dropped by Dollar tree afterwards to grab detergent. The Prince held back and saved his funds which impressed his dad because Cian usually tends to spend any money he makes immediately on dollar item toys. His dad shared with him $1 for every delivery he went with dad, so he was building up quite the allowance. Dad told him about how the best toy store on the planet is closing everywhere and had 40-60% off toys – that he should shop there. So they raced over so the Prince could look before it closed at 9 pm. They were however distracted by a carnival off of North Academy boulevard. The Prince wanted to go and play, so Toys R’ Us saved for another day.

Dad said he’d only spend $20 on the ticket band, so the Prince was excited. He ran to the caramel apple stand, then to the mirror room. The Prince and his dad wandered through the mirror maze, finding their way to the twisted mirrors, and the slide down. They went on to the Surf Shack for moving floor fun. The Prince was ecstatic. The Prince tried his hand at popping balloons winning an emojii stuffed toy. His final $3 was used on the Wacky Worm roller coaster which the two had a blast riding. Tired, they went back to the car and arrived home by 10 pm. Dad baked up a pizza for dinner, and the two cuddled together asleep watching the most recent episode of Naked and Afraid.
