Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom is a spectacular little concert hall in the heart of historic Five points in downtown Denver. A two-floor venue with a main dance/concert floor, stage, tables, and booths; upstairs being a wrap-around balcony with tables, chairs, and comfy couches. The Ballroom is located in the old historic Casino Cabaret that dates back to the Cotton Club days of the 1930′s when jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Count Bassie, and Benny Goodman toured and played. Through the years greats such as Ike and Tina Turner, BB King, Jimmy Smith, and many others performed. With space to hold over 700 patrons, with great space, easy flow access to the bar and bathroom, and a well ventilated, non-smoking space. Incredible murals of various artistic styles speckle the walls. Incredible sound systems, and lighting, and hanging from the ceiling is claimed to be the nation’s largest disco ball measuring approximately 5 feet in diameter. The staff and bar are friendly and courteous, and the drinks good and well priced. Every concert I’ve attended here has always been a fabulous experience. Thank you Cervantes! Rating: 5 stars out of 5.
