Duesseldorf, Germany
This particular morning Sir Leaf McGowan, Explorer and Adventurer from Colorado, awoke with visions. Clarity to the understanding of what exactly it is this key that the adventuring party seeks. Even though many keys had presented itself during the expedition – Xanten, Worms, Nuerenberg, Wurzburg, Cologne …. Sir Thomas Leaf is starting to realize that which he seeks is not the physical “key” that one would expect. But rather a “energy form” or “universal law” that is this “key of life; key of untapped raw wild energy that brings bliss”. As an archaeologist, he had been searching the crypts, the catacombs, the cathedrals, castles, museums, and archaeological sites for a sacred physical artifact that would unlock the secrets of youth and vitality of life. How to ressurect the child within. How to escape the coma he’s been in. But is realizing now it is something different. Its obvious now to the explorer that “the key” is something similar to the concept of “The Secret“. For those who haven’t watched this inspiring piece, “The Secret” is the “key” to “prosperity, health, relationships and happiness.” So “The Sacred Key of Life” being delved for is the key to keeping your “inner child alive” and staying “youthful”, “vivrant”, “exciting”, and “full of passion” about life. Not just in action, but in appeance, because they are quite connected. As the quest began with Sir Thomas Leaf feeling like his life has been stagnating in the last couple of years and that he had lost his way to the power that he had tapped into for most of his life 1990 until about 2007. Then he somehow lost it. In order to open this energy gate again, he realized he needs the key to unlock the lock. His first conclusion of course was a physical key. Now he knows this is far from the truth.

The sacred key to life relates opening the gate between “life” and “death”. Between “stagnation” and “ecstasy”. The search has recently been exploring the sides of “death” and “ancient places long past gone” all of which is essential to understanding “life, vitality, and spirit”. The Egyptian symbol of the “ankh” is obviously the world’s oldest “sacred key of life and renewal”. So with full knowledge that “the key” is not a physical object, but rather a form of energy or spirit, the adventurer began to think back to the fantastical tale of a concept used in “Buffy : the Vampire Slayer” – what is the key is a “person” or “various people” like in the aspect of “Dawn Summers” as Director Joss Wheddon utilizes as “a mystical object known as the Key; a group of monks transformed the Key into human form and sent it to the Slayer for protection from the villainous Glory.” [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dawn_Summers ] But maybe it is not a person or entity itself, but what one or more may represent? Could this be what the adventurers are seeking? Is the “Key” for Sir Thomas Leaf to be “rejuvenated” again be particular people he needs to meet for the gate of his soul to be unlocked and unleashed back to the happy, youthful, artistic spirit many of his friends had come to love about him through the years? The story shall unfold.
This tuesday became a day of recovery for the explorers. Each party member went on to work on their own things. Sir Thomas Leaf wandered off to a cafe in the old town district of Duesseldorf to complete his research. Princess Brea went shopping for souvenirs and a awesome clubbing outfit for “Trolls et Legends”. Lady Vanessa and Lord Christian were off on the job hunt. Every single party member was searching for something today. The adventurers met back up in the evening for gelato, food, and a pretty inspiring movie called “Keinohrhasen” or “Rabbit without Ears” that got Sir Thomas Leaf contemplating relationships and love. It has been a day of contemplation for dear Sir Thomas Leaf.
