Director: Olallo Rubio; Starring: Edward Furlong; Peter Coyote; Edi Gathegi; and Julian Sedgwick.

An International Film from Mexico, released in January 2011, filmed and produced in Estudios Churubusco Azteca, Mexico City, and Distrito Federal, Mexico; the film theoretically takes place in Sin City … Las Vegas, Nevada. It takes place in a mythic and dark art flavored elite hotel based around the Apocalypse them and demons. Edward Furlong plays an unstable very confused man who is having a crisis just on the brink of the end of the world. He plays three characters in the film all named Pete. He covers the celebration of atomic testing from Hitler to American tests in the desert and wars abroad. It really is the story of a babbling fool on drugs trapped in a deluxe hotel room in his psychotic episodes as a straight guy, a unshaven drunk, and a hippie babbling about “Who am I”, “the End”, sex, and whiskey. While parts of the film was oddly visually attractive, I had a hard time staying awake keeping with the plot. Rating: 2.5 stars out of 5.

Warehouse 13: Season 1: Episode 3: Magnetism

Warehouse 13: Season 1 ~ Episode 3: Magnetism

Director: Jace Alexander. Writers: D. Brent Mote & Jane Espenson. Starring:
Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, and many others. Original Air Date: 21 July 2009.

By Episode 3 of the amazing series, I was hooked. I joined in on the adventure in this episode as Pete and Myka going to investigate a small town that was behaving very strangely. Apparently everyone in town did as they pleased. As they find the artifact behind the troubles, Artie is having issues at the Warehouse still with the hacker trying to break in. He seeks out help from Leena, who may have the clues to his puzzle. High adventure and comedic blunders. Its a fun flick for all to see. Rating: 4 stars out of 5.

Warehouse 13: Season 1 ~ Episode 2: Resonance

Director: Vincent Misiano. Writers: D. Brent Mote & Jane Espenson. Starring:
Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, and many others. Original Air Date: 14 July 2009.

After my first viewing of this new and intriguing series, I joined in on Episode 2 where Pete and Myka are sent to investigate a series of bank robberies taking place in downtown Chicago. Turns out they run into a FBI agent named Bonnie Belski who is perplexed with the investigation and even more curious about Pete and Myka, both of whom have to hide the fact that the robbers are using a futuristic device that creates a severe sound resonance that hypnotizes by sound throwing the listener into a state of euphoria so they cannot observe, interfere with, or get in the way of the theft. As Pete and Myka have their hands full with the thefts, Artie is back at the Warehouse trying to fight off a “hacker” who is trying to penetrate their compound. Rating: 4 stars out of 5.
