The Avengers: Infinity War (PG-13: 2018)
~ PG-13 | 2h 29min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy | 27 April 2018 : Directors: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo; Writers: Christopher Markus (screenplay by), Stephen McFeely (screenplay by); Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and more, see IMDB. The saga continues as the world destroyer comes to Earth seeking out the Universe crystals for Universe domination. All heroes are called to action as the Avengers, Dr. Strange, the Black Panther, Iron Man, Spiderman, Guardians of the Galaxy, and more come to the rescue. It is an epic battle with an unexpected outcome. Thanos, the Titan is out to kill the Gods. Thor has to retrieve the weapon to destroy him, or can he? Visually stunning and an amazing plot. I highly enjoyed this film. Top work and one of Marvel’s most incredible films.

Super Troopers 2 (R: 2018)

Super Troopers 2 (R: 2018)
~ 1h 39min | Comedy, Crime, Mystery | 20 April 2018 : Director: Jay Chandrasekhar; Writers: Jay Chandrasekhar (as Broken Lizard), Kevin Heffernan (as Broken Lizard) | Starring: Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, and More info at IMDB. Seen at Tinseltown in Colorado Springs, Colorado ~

In the flavor of Super Troopers, as a sequel, is another “dumb and dumber” parody of the Vermont state troopers being re-assigned in a U.S. take-over of a slice of Canada that was mis-aligned in history. Reclaiming the land from the Canucks was a bad idea, as they were relatively hostile to America stepping across the line in Canada. There was a plot deeper than one would think that involved smuggling, the Canadian Mounties against the Troopers both thinking the other were guilty. A twist at the end with Rob Lowe starring, gives another pondering of what’s going on. From Grizzly bears to pranks, it is an all out Canadian vs American war. It was stupid but definitely in the flavor of Super Troopers. If you liked the original, you’ll probably enjoy this film. I personally can’t remember if I enjoyed the first one. Since I got to see it with Movie Pass, no loss on my shoulders or wallet.

From the producers of Harry Potter brings a classic book to the screen about a 12 year old girl struggling from isolation in school and her mother being on her death bed. Barbara Thorson fights off school bullies and GIANTS. She has weaved an imaginary world of magic, myth, and lore about Giants plaguing her town and her constant struggle to fight them off saving the town from being demolished. She flees the pains of reality and her school counselor as she becomes an irritant to everyone. But a new friend moving in from England becomes her only friend and wanders into her mythology. A great story of growing up and imagination. Great plot and story line being well crafted and made.

The dramatic tale of the 1969 fatal car accident where Senator Ted Kennedy was involved with claiming the life of Mary Jo Kopechne, one of the Kennedy familie’s aids. Interwoven during the time of the walking on the moon, the film bounces between cover-ups, hiding facts, and trying to keep Ted clear of it destroying his political career. All star cast, good production, and well done.

Siren (2013:TV-MA)

Siren
1h 33min | Drama | 26 October 2013 (USA) | TV-MA
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2083332/
~ Director: Jesse Peyronel; Writer: Jesse Peyronel (screenplay); Starring: Vinessa Shaw, Robert Kazinsky, Bess Wohl and more. See imdb for details. ~

A fantastic tale about a women with a medical “siren-like” condition where no human or animal can resist her pheromones, driving them crazy enough to take their own lives. This has forced her since puberty to live reclusively on an estate in the middle of nowhere for the rest of her life. She meets a man who has a disorder that doesn’t allow him to smell, making him resistant against hers. He is the first man she can trust, or can she? I thought the screenplay was grand, story line interesting, and production well done. Great plot. Watched on Amazon prime. 4/7/18
