Review by Leaf McGowan/Thomas Baurley, Technogypsie Productions ~

A story of a country music star that leaves his high school sweetheart at the altar to go pursue his quickly gained celebrity status. Eight years later he discovered a high school friend passed away and headed home for the funeral only to run into her and discover what he has missed over the last eight years – an emotional struggle of everything he walked away from and how to deal with a new life presented upon him. The acting was great and the plot perfect. Not normally a film i would randomly choose but while at Tinseltown in Colorado Springs, the timing was convenient for the small window of movie-going and able to use as a free film for my $9.95 / month Movie Pass it was a go. It was a emotional, tear-jerking, chick-flick that made a grown man cry – heart felt and warming, touching to the soul of any parent, definitely a film with lots of emotional moments. Outside of the country music, which even though it was about a famous country singer, was minimal and not obtrusive, so a country-music disliking soul such as myself was not bothered. It was a remarkably well done movie. Rating: 4 stars out of 5 (Viewed by Leaf McGowan/Thomas Baurley on 1/29/18 with Movie Pass)
